Paul Frey

Paul Frey, 82, of Rockford, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on March 9, 2025 after a short illness.  He was born in Germany on June 19, 1942 to Otto and Maria Frey.  He graduated from Freeport High School and then attended the University of Illinois for one year.  He married Patricia Raders on September 26, 1964 in Freeport, IL.  They celebrated their 60 year anniversary last year.  Paul was employed with Eagle Foods for over 40 years.  He was in property management and enjoyed teaching motorcycle safety classes and motorcycle riding.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Frey; children, Christy (Danny) Hirschuber, Cathy (Greg) Wagner and Bob (Nikki) Frey; grandchildren, Lucas (Stephanie) Frey, Kurstin (Zach) Frey-Adams, Cailey (Alex) Flewellin, Kasee Flewellin and Lexi (Brandon) Tintlemann; sisters, Herta (Daryl) Cassleman, Rose (Bill) Meyers and Heidi (Orv) Johnson; and many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his parents, Otto and Maria Frey; and siblings, Lydia Frey, Lilly Frey and Oscar Frey.

The family would like to thank Van Matre Rehabilitation Center, OSF Hospice and Saint Anne's Center for their care.

Memorial Mass will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 14, 2025 in Holy Family Catholic Church, 4401 Highcrest Rd., Rockford, IL 61107 with a memorial visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of the Mass.
