Patricia Ann Williams, 75, of Roscoe, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, October 6, 2025, surrounded by her loving family who will miss her dearly. Born on June 15, 1950, in Rockford, Illinois, Patty was the youngest of six siblings. After losing her mother, Julia, at the young age of twelve, she was lovingly raised by her eldest sister and her husband. Patty graduated from Harlem High School with the Class of 1968.
In 1985, Patty married Jack Williams, and they built a life together, blending two families into one. A marriage of over forty years, filled with laughter, lots of shenanigans and a deep rooted love. They enjoyed fishing, dancing, bowling, and family gatherings. Patty worked as a clerk at Vince’s Depot for more than twenty years. She took pride in her work and cherished the friendships she made with both coworkers and customers alike.
After Jack’s passing in 2021, Patty took pride in living independently and keeping her home just the way she liked it. She adored her birds but had a running feud with the squirrels who dared to raid their feeder. Her humor, independence, and warmth made her a joy to be around. Patty’s family and friends will remember her for her kind heart, sharp wit, and unwavering spirit. She brought laughter and light to all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, (the favorites) and the grandchildren and great-grandchildren: John, (Monica) Williams - Madison, Mason Lori, (Joe) Brien - Jared, Chad, (Caraline) and Sara Tammy Sterner - Samantha, Serena, Elizabeth, Anthony and greats: Aaliyah and JJ Kelly, (Peter) Stretz - Logan and Lucas Predeceased by her husband, Jack Williams, her mother, Julia Fry, her son, Joey Atterbury and 5 siblings - Rita, Mary, Jack, Judy, Bill.
