Olga Castillo, 79, of Rockford, IL, passed away July 5, 2025 with her family by her side. She was born September 19, 1945 in San Antonio, TX, the daughter of Amado and Gumecinda Cardoza. She was partially raised in Delavan, WI. She was married to Mateo Castillo and was a Jehovah Witness. She loved Jehovah, her husband, kids, grandkids and great-grandchildren deeply and passionately. She found joy in reading the Bible, crocheting, writing, reading, and nature. She was a beautiful woman inside and out, leaving a mark on this world that cannot be mimicked. Her heart was made of pure gold and love poured from it constantly and consistently. Whenever or wherever a hand or ear was needed, she could be found. She was a blessing and will continue to be for eternity.
Survived by children, Angie Gelacio, Oralia Cardoza, Blanca Vidales, Bertha Castillo, Olga Castillo Jr., Luis Castillo, and Raul Castillo; grandchildren, Angelica Gelacio, Juan Gelacio, Christina Gelacio, Felipe Gelacio, Mateo McGlasson, Pedro Tinajero, Erica Lowe, Miranda McGlasson, Erin Lowe, and Xavier Castillo. Predeceased by her husband, Mateo Castillo; parents, Amado and Gumecinda Cardoza; and grandson, Donavan Castillo.
Visitation will be on Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM in Honquest Family Funeral Homes with Crematory-Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Rd., Loves Park.
