Nickie M. Lamphere

Nickie M. Lamphere, 76, of Rockford, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2021. She was born on November 4, 1944 in Rockford, IL. Nickie married Roger Lamphere on July 13, 1977. She worked for OSF doctors office for 18 years. Nickie had a loving heart, especially for her family. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, camping and cooking for family and friends. 

Survivors include her husband, Roger; children, Christine (Michael) McCollum, Larry (Vicki) Akerman, Jim Akerman and Nick (Melinda) Lamphere; six grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; four loving sisters and their families, Joan Ilgen, Priscilla (Lynn) Woodliff, Nancy (George) Tullock and Susan (Steve) Parker and special friends, Mary Grantham, Carol Powder and Lisa. Predeceased by her parents, numerous aunts and uncles and special cousin, Larry. 

The family would like to thank The Patricia D. Pepe Center for Cancer and OSF Hospice for their loving care. A private family memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for The Patricia D. Pepe Center for Cancer and OSF Hospice.
