Nathan Joseph Hale

Nathan Hale, 91, of Rockford joined his wife Betty (Boyer) in Heaven on July 10, 2024. He was born in Winslow, Illinois on February 2, 1933, to parents Anson and Irene Hale. Nate graduated from Winslow High School, farmed for many years, owned Nathan Hale Appliance & TV and then worked in maintenance at Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center until retirement.

He is survived by their four children, Douglas (Graciella) Hale, Dayle Roberts (Deborah), Diana (Bradley) Reardon and Donna (Darren) Wellman. Their families include 6 grandchildren, 17 great- grandchildren, and several step-grandchildren/great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his wife, Betty and sons-in-law, Daniel Steele and Steven Jones.

Memorial visitation will be held Friday, August 30, 2024 at 1:00 PM followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM, in Maywood Evangelical Free Church, 3621 Samuelson Rd., Rockford, IL. Private family burial in Rock Lily Cemetery of Winslow.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center, 3470 N.
