She took pride in being the grandmother to Tiffany Nix (Brent) Byron, IL, Alicia Groen (Bill) Byron, IL, Samantha Berry, Oregon, IL, Amber Stivers, Lebanon, OR, Nolan Krone, Pinellas Park, FL, Marine Corp Private Patrick Krone, currently of Henderson, CO, Yvonne Poloski (Jonathan) Sterling, IL, and Mary Mowry (Ryan) Loves Park, IL. Nancy attended and graduated from Dixon High School in 1957 where she met her high school sweetheart Wayne Jaquet. They were married July, 1958 and eventually ended up residing in Anchorage, Alaska while Wayne was stationed at Elmendorf Air Force Base. Nancy worked at Dixon National Bank after high school, and then the National Bank of Alaska until their return to Illinois in 1962. Shortly after, they moved the family to Byron, Illinois where their adventure transpired. Nancy has been a partner and entrepreneur with her husband for over 64 years, either through building and managing multiple business ventures in Byron, having exhibits at the “Pec Thing” or with the National Association of Aladdin Lamp Collectors as active members, collectors, and exhibitors of Aladdin Lamps. Nancy was involved with one of the original “Quilting Clubs” in Byron where they exhibited their quilts and other memorabilia at the “ByronFest”. Nancy enjoyed nature, antique collecting, gardening, crafting and painting. Her other talents were baking, candy making, and creating the most wonderful pies in the Midwest. Other favorite interests were Disney movies, shopping and spending time with her sister-in-law, Donna Jaquet.
