Nancy Blomgren Obituary

Nancy J. Blomgren, 72, of Rockford, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 7, 2025. She was born March 1, 1953 in Webster Springs, WV, the daughter of Lonnie S. and Burtine (Fox) Phares. She married Marvin Blomgren in 1997 and they were married until Marv's passing in 2015. Nancy loved to dance, play cards, Yahtzee and crossword puzzles.

Nancy is survived by her children, Johnny Gratton and Bobbie Jo (Bill) Rice; grandchildren, Alyssa (Christopher), Wyatt, and Abby; great-grandchildren, Brynlee and Landry; sisters, Darlene (Larry) Williamson, Christine (Gail) Truckerbrod and JoAnne (Pete) Sireci; brothers, James "Steve" (Diane) Phares and Ron Phares; and numerous family and special friends whom she loved dearly. Predeceased by her parents; husband; sisters, Cheryl and Janis Marie; and brother, Harry Daniel.
