Michael A. Quayle, 49, of Rockford, Illinois, passed away surrounded by loved ones on July 19, 2026.
Michael was a simple man and a kind-hearted, generous soul who loved helping others. He was a die-hard Miami Dolphins and Golden State Warriors fan. Michael also loved jamming out to music, especially Slayer and Pantera.
He is survived by his father, Dennis "Bird" Quayle; sisters, Lisa Quayle-Booth (Joey), Liz Quayle-Villarreal (Troy); nephews, Ashton Quayle (Ana) and Keigan Booth; niece, Kyla Quayle; great-niece and nephew, Mia and AJ; aunt, Sheila Leonard (Jerry Galor); uncles, Mike Quayle and Tom Quayle (Virginia); and life-long friends, The Clark Boys, The DeMarb Boys, Ed and Fawn McGaw, SteveO, Matt Padron, April Nelson, Shannon Pierce, David (Mona) Knowlton, and many more.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Denise Quayle; step-mom, Judee Quayle-Marinaro; grandparents, Phil and Irene Quayle, Leslie and Dorothy Meyer, and Charlie and Ruth Marinaro.
Our family wants to say a huge thank you to the doctors and nurses at OSF Hospital in the Critical Care Center for the incredible care they provided for Michael. A special thank you to Ashley Wallin for being by Michael's side.
A celebration of Michael Quayle's life will be held at Lyran Park (4781 S. Bend Rd., Rockford, Illinois 61109) on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
