Matthew Miller Obituary

Matthew James Miller, born on March 20, 1985, passed away on September 1, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Matthew was a devoted son, a beloved brother, and a cherished uncle who brought joy and warmth to everyone who knew him. His gentle spirit and kind heart made him a friend to many. He found immense happiness in the simple pleasures of life, especially when riding his bike, feeling the freedom of the open road, and embracing the beauty of nature.  Matthew’s greatest joy, however, came from spending time with his nephew and niece. He was the fun-loving uncle who never missed a chance to play, laugh, and create lasting memories with them. His love and dedication to his family were evident in every moment he shared with them, and he will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Matthew leaves behind his parents, Lonnie and Connie Miller; sister, Emily (Greg) Stephens; nephew, Jonathan; niece, Elizabeth; aunts, uncles and cousins.  He will forever remain in our hearts. His memory will be cherished, and his spirit will live on in the love and laughter he shared with those around him.

May he rest in peace, knowing that he was loved beyond measure.

Memorial service will be at 12:00 PM Saturday, September 14, 2024 in Roscoe United Methodist Church, 10816 Main St., Roscoe, IL, with a memorial visitation from 10:30 AM until the time of the service.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rockford Park District, designated for their Mountain Bike Trails Project, or The Ronald McDonald House in Madison.
