Mary Louise "Lou" Ritenour

Mary Louise “Lou” Ritenour has of Galena, IL passed away peacefully on March 20, 2024, with loving family right by her side. Born in Evanston, IL on April 10, 1941, to John Reninger and Virginia Weldon. Mary graduated from Saint Patrick Academy in Chicago, IL on 1959.

Mary worked for the Midwest Medical Center for many years. She enjoyed gardening and reading. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. They were her world. Mary will be dearly missed by so many.

Survived by her children, Christopher (Tracy) Ritenour and Melanie Sciackitano; grandchildren, Christopher Jr. and Michael Ritenour, Nichole, Roxanne, and Caitlyn Sciackitano, Courtney (Mike) Bullis; great-grandchildren, Hazel and Lucille Bullis; brother, Jim (Julia) Reninger; many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents, John and Virginia Reninger; siblings, Bob Reninger and Joan Mann.

A memorial visitation will be held for Mary on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Honquest Family Funeral Home with  Crematory - Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Rd., Loves Park, IL 61111, from 12:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M.
