Mary Lena Parrish

Mary Lena Parrish passed away on October 14, 2021, at the age of 100. She was born in Clover Bend, AR and moved to Rockford, IL in the early 1940s, where she and a few of her siblings found employment in the wartime industrial era of Rockford. She retired from Sundstrand Corporation, where she had worked in varying departments.

Mary is survived by one brother, Lowell Parrish of Rockford, IL; many nieces; nephews; and great- and great-great- nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by 8 brothers and 5 sisters.

Always an independent and capable person, Mary traveled throughout the United States as well as many countries of the world. She loved experiencing new places and meeting new people. She enjoyed gardening and baking for others but her favorite pastime and greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family.

Graveside services will be held in Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery, Monday, October 18, 2021 at 1:00 p.m.
