Mary Claudette (Ross) Hedges

Mary C. (Ross) Hedges, 80, of Rockton born November 9, 1940 passed away October 19, 2021.

Worked 25 years in the insurance business at Tripp-Wells Agency, Robert V. Wells Agency, Brereton, Inc. and Jody Goad State Farm, all in Belvidere, IL. In 1997, she retired and married Roger A. Hedges who worked for the Rockford Morning Star, Rockford, IL until 1972 and they resided in N. CA until Roger’s death in 2015.

Mary is survived by her children, Robin Rakoczy, Michael (Christine) Rakoczy, Jill Brown; grandchildren, Michaela (Mark) Passenheim, Claire Brown, Grace Brown, Matthew Brown, Christopher Rakoczy; great grandchildren, Mark, Jr., and Vivienne Passenheim. Predeceased by father; mother; step-father; sister; brother; and husband, Roger.

No services are planned at this time. Memorial donations may be given to Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary, 111 N. 1st St., Rockford, IL 61107.
