Mark L. Cunningham

Mark L. Cunningham, 80, of Machesney Park, IL passed away peacefully April 21, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Mark was born September 7, 1942, in Blackfoot, ID to his parents, Nick and Isabel (Friesen) Cunningham.

Mark graduated from Rock Falls High School. He married the love of his life, Patricia Day, in Rock Falls, on July 4, 1959 at St. Andrew Catholic Church. Together, the couple had six beautiful children. He was a long-time member of Saint Bridget Catholic Church in Loves Park, IL.  Mark worked for Amerock as a machinist laborer for over 43 years before eventually retiring. In his free time, he really enjoyed remodeling homes and spending quality time with his family.

Mark is survived by his wife, Patricia (Day) Cunningham; children, Markie, Bryan, Nick, Patrick and Chris Cunningham; grandchildren, Nicholas, John, Justin, Taylor, and Marrisa Cunningham; great-grandchildren, Elise, Elexis, Ethan, Grayson, Harper, Rayden, and Robin Jr. (R.J.) Cunningham; siblings, Connie, Mike, and Tom Cunningham.

Predeceased in death by his parents, Nick and Isabel Cunningham; son, Matthew Cunningham; brother, Bruce Cunningham.

Funeral service will be at 6:00pm with a Visitation from 4:00pm until the service on on Friday, April 28, 2023, in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory-Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park, IL 61111.
