Mark M. Barrickman

Mark M. Barrickman, 66, of Cherry Valley, IL passed away October 31, 2023. Mark was born March 26, 1957, in Freeport, IL to his parents, Emmett and Dorothy (Toelke) Barrickman. Mark graduated from Rockford Guilford High School class of 1975.

Mark married his one true love, Carol Barrickman on July 28, 1979, at The Second Congregational Church of Rockford.  Mark worked for Sundstrand from 1977-2007 as a machine repairer. Mark enjoyed taking his family on camping trips every summer, motorcycling, bodybuilding, and kayaking. Above all else, he loved spending time with his family and his beloved labradoodle, Champ. Mark will be dearly missed by so many.

Mark is survived by his children, Morgan and Chris Barrickman; companion, Patricia Braun.

Preceded in death by his wife, Carol Barrickman; parents, Emmett and Dorothy Barrickman; brother, David Barrickman.

A memorial service will be held for Mark on Monday, November 13, 2023, at 11:00 am with a visitation starting at 10:00 am until time of service in Honquest Family Funeral Home with crematory Mulford – Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Rd. Loves Park, IL. 61111. Burial will immediately follow the service at Arlington Cemetery.
