Maria L. Garcia

Maria L. Garcia, 54, of Rockford, passed away on February 6, 2021. She was born on May 15, 1966 in El Zape, Durango, Mexico to Elodia Ibarra and Ignacio Ramirez. Maria will be remembered by her husband, Saul Garcia; daughters, Leticia and Zahyra Garcia; grandchildren, Javier and Isaac Garcia; parents, Elodia Ibarra and Ignacio Ramirez; sisters, Sandra (Noel) Corral and Betty (Daniel) Cervantes; brothers, Ignacio (Griselda) and Noel (Veronica) Ramirez and countless other family and friends that will miss her dearly.

Maria lived for her family. She loved spending time with her grandsons and traveling with her parents and sisters. She will be remembered for her vivacious personality, positive attitude, beautiful smile, and delicious cooking. She touched the lives of many people; she was full of charisma and made everyone feel welcomed. She is greeted into heaven by her niece, Ana Lizbeth Rivera; her beloved grandmothers, Angelita Ibarra and Anita Ramirez; and her beloved grandfathers, Salvador Ibarra and Ignacio Ramirez.

Funeral service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Friday, February 12, 2021 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory - Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park, with a visitation from 2:00 p.m. until time of service.  Masks and social distancing are observed.

Maria sera recordada por sus padres, Elodia Ibarra y Ignacio Ramirez; esposo, Saul Garcia; hijas, Leticia y Zahyra Garcia; nietos, Javier y Isaac Garcia; hermanas, Sandra (Noel) Corral y Betty (Daniel) Cervantes; hermanos, Ignacio (Griselda) y Noel (Veronica) Ramirez y varios otros familiares y amigos que la van a extrañar mucho.

Maria vivia para su familia. Le encantaba pasar el tiempo con sus nietos y le encantaba viajar con sus padres y sus hermanas. Sera recordada por su gran personalidad, actitud positiva, su sonrisa hermosa, y su deliciosa comida. Maria a muchos les toco la vida con su carisma y forma de hacer que todos se sintieran bienvenidos. Sera recibida al cielo por su sobrina Ana Lizbeth Rivera, sus amadas abuelas Angelita Ibarra y Anita Ramirez, y sus amados abuelos Salvador Ibarra y Ignacio Ramirez.
