Margaret A. Jacobson, 85, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2008 in Fairhaven Retirement Center. Born December 21, 1922, daughter of Conrad and Frances Lindquist. Margaret was a lifelong Rockford resident, graduating from West High School class of 1941 and Hamilton Business College. She married “the love of her life”, Arthur S. Jacobson on July 7, 1945. Formerly employed by Coachlight Gifts and Youth for Christ. Margaret was a member of First Evangelical Free Church where she faithfully served: Fairhaven Circle, Choir, Sunday School Teacher and Deaconess. Margaret was a very creative, talented woman who loved to sew, sing and spend time in her garden. She was a deeply beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister who was fully devoted to her family. Her strong faith was evident in every aspect of her life, based upon the total devotion she and her husband of 62 years showed to each other was one of the greatest gifts any family could ever receive. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff at Fairhaven Health Center for their loving care of Margaret. Survivors include Husband, Arthur; daughters, Nancy (Gary) Lundquist, Sue (Steve) Franzen, Jill (Dave) Love; grandchildren, Heather (Cory) Daehn, Andrew Leigh, Amy Wilkens, Anita (Herb) Rosborough, Nate, Ryan and Austin Love; 6 great grandchildren; brother, Milton (Vivian) Lindquist of Rockford; sister, Joann (Paul) Larson of Fergus Falls, MN and numerous extended relatives and friends. A celebration of Margaret’s life will be held Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in First Evangelical Free Church Chapel with Rev. Jim Rosene officiating.
