Marcia A. West

Marcia A. West, 69, of Loves Park passed away May 24, 2021. Born July 26, 1951 in Baraboo, WI, the daughter of Dr. Joseph and Loretta (Witzko) Lins. A graduate of Rutgers University and University of Wisconsin Madison receiving her Bachelor Degrees in Home Economics and Engineering. Marcia was employed as a high school teacher, ceramic engineer, published author and holistic healer. Married Ron West on May 14, 2005 in Loves Park at their home. Marcia was a member of Women’s Space, founder of Bridges of Unity and international president for a few years of Powder Metal Organization. She loved boating, fishing, dancing, painting, sewing and was an avid reader. She was an ongoing student her entire life and enjoyed learning. Marcia loved life and was an advocate of having fun. She always had kind words to say about everyone.

Survivors include husband, Ron West of Loves Park; children, Brett (fiancé Cassie Brady) Phillips and Jennifer (Howard) Wallace of Longmont, CO; grandchildren, Howard Keefer Wallace and 2 on the way; brothers, Dr. Robert (Meredith) Lins, James (Sue) Lins, Dr. Stephen (Deb) Lins; sisters, Mary (Dr. Don) Wackwitz, Kay (James) Kline; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Nancy Watkins.

Celebration of life to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Bridges of Unity.
