Lucia “Lucy” H. Eslora, 84, of Rockford, IL passed away peacefully March 7, 2025, at Saint Anne Nursing Home in Rockford. Born in San Antonio, TX on October 21, 1940, to her parents, Lucio Hernandez and Adelina Flores. Lucy was a truly classy lady, with a love for all things beautiful and pretty. She had an eye for elegance and a heart that cherished her family above all else. Known for her dazzling, blinged-out sunglasses, her vibrant smile, and her undeniable beauty, Lucy brightened the lives of everyone around her. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Survived by her life partner of 40 years, Michael Fitzgerald; children, Joann Eslora (Gregorio Guerrero), Donna Zarabia (Neri Sarabia), Cathy (Ramon) Mercado, and Albert Eslora; grandchildren, Tony Ramirez, Daniel (Danielle) Ramirez, Anna (Brittany) Portillo, Marcos Guerrero, Lucia Guerrero, Santos Guerrero, Joel Sarabia, Julian Sarabia, Ulysses Sarabia, Jazmin Sarabia, Rebeca (Keegan) Castor, Ramiro (Heather) Eslora, Lazaro (Nohemy) Sandoval, Adriana (Miguel) Guerrero, Lorena (Bryan) Ramirez, Izabella Mercado, Jessica (Nathaniel) Aranda, Amanda Eslora, Matthew (Tylor) Eslora; great-grandchildren, Michelle, Tony, Roberto, Daniel Jr, Ellyana, Syh, Joseph, Jeremiah, Reina, Leanna, Gabriella, Malaya, Tykeyvion, Jaylen, August, Estella, Aliza, Emiliano, Joslynn, Arianah, Alexander, Anastasia, Abraham, Ernesto, Javier, Noehlia, Esmeralda, Emma, Elina, Aziel, Sebastian, Miranda, Leah, Nathaniel Jr., Jace, Jacclyn, Elaina, Aden, Liam, and Addilyn.

Preceded in death by her parents; children, Adelina Jimenez and Bill Eslora; grandchild, Maryann Eslora; great-grandchild, Brennan.

Funeral mass will be held for Lucy on Friday, March 14, 2025, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 2505 School St., Rockford, IL 61101, at 11:00 AM, with a visitation starting at 10:00 AM until time of mass. Burial will immediately follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
