May 31, 1975 ~ May 21, 2022 (age 46)

Lucas DeWayne Stanley passed away at home on the evening of May 20, 2022 at the age of 46. Luke was born in Havre, Montana on May 31, 1975. He graduated from Fergus High School in Lewistown, Montana in 1994. He then went on to serve in the United States Army as a Paratrooper in the 528th Special Operations Support Battalion (Airborne) in Fort Bragg, NC from 1994-1998. After his time with the Army, Luke went on to obtain his Associates Degree in Nursing at Northern Montana University. He moved to Illinois in 2005 and spent 11 years working as a nurse in the Emergency Room at Swedish American Hospital. During his time in the ER, he met the love of his life and they began their careers as travel nurses together. He spent the last 5 years of his career working in various emergency rooms across the US. Luke married his wife on September 22, 2018 at a beautiful lakeside resort in Manitowish Waters, WI.

Luke was one of a kind. His charismatic charm and sense of humor naturally drew people to him. He was genuine in his interactions with others, which made it easy for people to confide in him. The number of lives he touched during his short time on this earth is truly remarkable. He was an amazing Dad and he was so incredibly proud of his three beautiful children.

He is survived by his wife, Brittney Stanley; children, Elijah (16), Micah (15) and Ada Stanley (8 months); parents, Dennis and Kathleen Stanley; brothers, Travis (Malissa) and Dustin (Jenny) Stanley; cousin, Ross (Alisia) Bradley; along with his nephews, Sullivan and Declan Stanley; niece, Megan Stanley; and many cousins; aunts; and uncles.
