Lisa Marie (Hage) Jung, 59, of Capron, IL, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving chosen family—Laurie, Heather, and her close cousin Mary—after a courageous battle fought with unwavering faith and strength.
Born on August 29, 1966, in Harvard, IL, to Richard Hage and Brenda (Sorenson) Kratzer, Lisa brought joy and kindness to all who knew her. She had a heart of gold and lived a life full of compassion, generosity, and gratitude. She found deep joy in simple pleasures—visiting Goodwill shops, attending pumpkin patches and festivals, and taking road trips up North.
Lisa was an animal lover who adored her beloved fur babies, Gus and Rascal, as well as the family dog, Rusty. She delighted in nature—especially sunflowers, the color pink, and watching playful squirrels. A devoted member of Capron Lutheran Church, Lisa found peace in her faith and in honoring the memory of loved ones by placing flowers at their resting places.
Known for her radiant smile, infectious laugh, and photogenic charm, Lisa had a vibrant spirit. She loved music, was a talented dancer, and lit up any room she entered with her warm presence.
Lisa is survived by her special friends Laurie and Heather; her close cousin, Mary; niece, Jada, and extended family members from the Hage and Millner families, along with many dear friends who became family over the years; mother and two brothers. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard; her grandparents, Earnest and Alice Hage; and her aunt and uncle, Linda and Jack Millner.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Laurie, Heather, Mary, hospice, nurse Deb, caring neighbors, friends, Pastor Don Gillingham, Capron Lutheran Church, and Honquest Funeral Home for their compassion and support.
“What a cloud of witnesses. Lisa’s rest has been assured.”
“The angels sang Amazing Grace. The Lord came down and touched her face. He took her hand and whispered low, Come with Me, Lisa, it’s time to go. The gates of Heaven opened wide—angels lined up side by side. A special guest was on her way—the day the Lord took Lisa away.”
Blessed be the memory of Lisa. She will be sorely missed.
