Linda Johnson

Linda Johnson born December 2, 1954, was promoted to glory April 8, 2021 following lengthy battle with COPD. Linda was a caregiver, not only was it her career. She was a caregiver to her children, grandchildren, friends and community.  As a soldier of the Salvation Army Corp in Belvidere where Linda attended church services, served on home league, Christmas toy and food programs along with various community committees. Linda loved sewing, embroidery, crocheting handmade gifts for friends, love ones and for donations. Mom was an avid bike rider, frequently seen about town riding her bike.  She loved Jeopardy, and could have won many episodes. She loved her Cubs and claimed to be the GB Packers “biggest fan”.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Sarah (Michael) McConnell of Rochester, MN; son, John Schroeder of Belvidere, IL; daughter, Mary Schroeder of Belvidere, IL; son, Matthew Schroeder of Belvidere, IL. Linda was the proud grandmother of Collin McConnell, Christian Schroeder, Caroline McConnell, Noah Schroeder, Nevaeh Schroeder. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Delmore Claire Johnson and Louisa Mary Johnson; brother, James Johnson and son, Burdette Schroeder II.

A celebration of life will be held 11:00am on Saturday, April 24, 2021, at Salvation Army, Belvidere, 422 S. Main St., Belvidere Illinois. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.
