Linda R. Hanson

Linda R. Hanson, 71, of Roscoe, IL, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2021, after succumbing to complications that arose after a recent immunization. Linda was born August 1, 1950 in Rockford, Illinois daughter of Floyd and Isabell (Durfey) Toynton. She graduated from Harlem High School, class of 1968. Linda met her perfect match, Terry, and the pair were wed in Rockford, Illinois. They were blessed with two sons and they made many wonderful memories together as a family. She worked as a secretary for Ledgewood Elementary School for numerous years before retiring. Linda loved watching Fox News while sitting in her comfy chair. Linda adored her grandchildren and absolutely loved spending time with them. She was very close with her sister and treasured their visits. Linda was a kind, caring and patient woman who will be remembered for her smile and her ability to make others smile. There is a hole left in many hearts.

Linda is loved and missed by her sons, Matthew and Chad; grandchildren Alivia and Hunter; sister Diane (Randy) Marine; niece Leigh (Rick) Bowling; nephew Steven (Tina) Marine; two great-nieces; three great-nephews; one great-great-nephew and her mother.

Linda is predeceased by her beloved husband and her father.

A visitation is being held from 12:00 pm to 1:45 pm on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory-Roscoe Chapel, 11342 Main Street, Roscoe, IL 61073. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm with Pastor Anthony Maynard officiating. Burial in Floral Lawns Cemetery in South Beloit, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Linda’s honor can be made in care of the family.
