Linda Maria Gunderson, 90, passed away in her home, Wednesday, September, 14, 2022, surrounded by the love of her family. Linda was born and raised in Rockford to Luigi and Margaret (Sodini) Agostini and later settled in Loves Park. She spent her younger years working at National Lock and then retired from Woodward Governor in 1992 after 26 years of service. Although Linda was a dedicated and hard worker, her joy came from raising her children and seeing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow up. She spent her 90 years teaching them all to trust God, cook and continue the Italian family traditions with their own families. Linda was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 9759 and attended church at Grace Lutheran and GPS Faith Community. She most recently enjoyed spending time with family, working crosswords, jigsaw puzzles, knitting, crocheting, sewing and watching soap operas but also enjoyed going on family vacations throughout the years.
Linda is survived by her beloved children, Carol (Lonny) Davis, Daniel (Linda) Fleming, and Steve (Rebecca) Gunderson; grandchildren, Angela (James) Wedding, Jennifer (Oliver) Hauch, Kyler Fleming and Jacob (Cameron) Fleming; great-grandchildren, Jaime, Leia, Lane, and Olivia; step-grandchildren, Shawn (Jennifer) Gill, Marissa (Aristides) Troncoso; step-great-grandchildren, Zoe, Elliette, Addison, Calliope, Emiliana, Sophie, and Rin; brother, Mario (Josephine) Agostini; and numerous nieces and nephews. Linda was welcomed to Heaven by her parents; sister, Adeline; and brothers, Peter and Anthony "Tony".
Special thank you to Unity Hospice for helping to fulfill Linda’s wishes to pass peacefully at home with her family.
Visitation will be at 11:00am followed by a Memorial Service at 12:00 noon on Monday, September 19, 2022 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory-Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park. Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Winnebago.
