Larry Backens Obituary
Larry Kaye Backens, 85, of Pecatonica, passed away Friday, April 23, 2021. He was born on February 20, 1936 in Waterloo, Iowa to Orville and Lucy (Crooks) Backens.
Survivors include his siblings, Peggy (Dave) Bargren, Connie Rozier, Linda (John) Lanferman, Terry (Phyllis) Backens and Sherry (Dennis) Emenecker; 11 nieces and nephews and 33 great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 29, 2021 in Honquest Family Funeral Homes with Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Rd., Loves Park, IL 61111 with visitation from 3:00 p.m. until time of service. Burial will be held in Reinbeck, Iowa. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Rockford Rescue Mission.
