Kris W. Moline

Kris Wayne Moline, 70, passed away in OSF Medical Center on July 23, 2021 after a courageous 11 year battle with cancer. Born in Rockford, on June 21,1951, to Wesley and Beverly Moline. Graduated from Auburn High School in 1969. Served from 1971-1975 in the United States Airforce. Kris married Diane L. Harris on Sept 25,1976 in Rockford. They were married almost 45 years. He was employed at Eclipse Inc for 33 years as an Assembler before retiring in 2013. Kris was a longtime member of Tabor Lutheran Church until they closed in 2018. Kris enjoyed golfing and his yearly camping trips to Door County with his family. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who will be dearly missed.

Kris is survived by his loving wife, Diane L Moline; his children, Stacie (Roger) Soddy of Monroe, WI, Kim (Tim) Stec of South Beloit, Danial (Sarah) Petrie of Rockford, and Holly (James) Lewis of Rockford; his grandchildren, Zachary, Gavin, Isaiah, Aaliyah, Brayden, Josiah, Ezra, Nehemiah and Noah, as well as many special relatives and friends. His loving dogs, Barney and Fred gave him much comfort over the last 10 years. Kris is predeceased by his parents; brothers, Doug and Kevin; as well as his father and mother in-law, Roger and Millie Harris. 

The Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 9, 2021 officiated by his Godchild, Pastor Jessica Shields of Cleveland Heights, OH in Honquest Family Funeral Homes with Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Rd. Loves Park, IL 61111. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the family for a memorial that will be established at a later date.
