Katina "Tina" M. Parkerson

Katina “Tina” Marie Parkerson, 51, of Rockford, IL, passed away peacefully at home on May 12, 2025. Born on May 22, 1973, in Long Beach, California, Tina brought warmth and joy to everyone who knew her.  Tina’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her beloved granddaughters. Whether taking them to her cherished cabin and camper or hunting for treasures at garage sales, she made every moment an adventure filled with love and laughter. Her heart belonged to those girls, and she treasured every second with them.

Tina’s memory will live on through the love she gave and the joy she brought to her family and friends.

Tina is survived by her fiancé, Brian Smith; children, Zackery (Maeve) Parkerson, Brandon Goetz and Bryan (Carlie) Goetz; mother, Kathy Parkerson; grandchildren, Brinley and Jayla Paduana; sisters, Michelle (Phil), Kristy (Ryan) and Desiree (Adam); nieces and nephews, Destynie, Ryne, Logan, Gunner, Coen and Dominic. Predeceased by her father, Steve Parkerson; grandparents; and aunts.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, at Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory-Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Rd., Loves Park, IL, 61111, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  Memorials may be made to the family.
