Karen A. Jeschke, 73, of Loves Park passed away peacefully on December 8, 2024 after a long struggle with pulmonary fibrosis. She was born in Champaign, IL the daughter of John and Anna Rusnak. She was a lifelong resident of Chicago and completed grade school and high school. Karen made a career as a dispatcher for the Canadian Pacific Railroad. She enjoyed cooking, puzzles, her favorite tv shows and being with her family.
Survivors include her son, Thomas (Cheryl) and Timothy (Geannie); grandchildren, Darcie Price, Karly, Chandler and Paul Jeschke; great grandchildren, Kane, Zeke and Owen; sister, Irene Zbierski; nieces, Rhonda Sosnowski and Debbie Zbierski, and many friends and family. Predeceased by her sister, Evelyn Tropp and brother, Kenneth Rusnak.
Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at 11:00 am in Honquest Family Funeral Homes with Crematory, Mulford Chapel - 4311 N. Mulford Rd. Loves Park with a memorial visitation from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Private family burial will be at a later date.
The family would like to thank Dr. Conn, the nurses at the hospital, St. Anne's nursing staff and Heartland Hospice.
