John Thomas Palco

John Thomas Palco, 82, of Rockford passed away September 9, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. Born November 4, 1937 in New Castle Pennsylvania, the son of John and Helen Palco. John grew up in New Castle Pennsylvania and graduated from Youngstown State University. He was a veteran of the US Army. He married Becky Peterson on January 6, 1975 in Rockford, Illinois. Former owner of Dixie Cream Donuts in Belvidere, Illinois and retired from the State of Illinois. John enjoyed reading books on the Civil War, doing crossword puzzles and most of all spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving relatives include his loving wife of 45 years, Becky; daughter, Michelle Dimond; grandchildren, Zachary Dimond and Victoria Dimond; siblings, Sandra Tucker, Connie (James) Uber, Stanley (Debbie) Palco, Yvonne (Steve Carey) Lesnett, and Eric (Evelyn) Palco; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 12, 2020 in Winnebago Cemetery.
