John Thomas Luttrell, 77, of Rockford passed away January 26, 2023. Born October 8, 1945 in Sandoval, IL, the son of Clarence and Opal (Powless) Luttrell. Married Arlene Manthei on April 24, 1965 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Rockford, IL. Retired after 50+ years as a truck driver. John enjoyed spending time with the love of his life “R,” woodworking, camping at Lakeland Campground in Milton, WI and he loved his dogs.
John leaves behind to cherish his memory his children, Dale Thomas (Carole) Luttrell, Kelly Nokes; grandchildren, Jeannette (Alex) Smith, Robyn (Juan) Pizano, Evan Nokes, Chloe Nokes; brothers-in-law, Eddy Manthei, Milo Hennemann, Greer Terry; sister-in-law, Lois Luttrell; and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents; wife, Arlene; 2 sisters; 3 brothers; and twin granddaughters, Ava and Kinsey.
Per John’s wishes, no services are to be held at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in John’s name to the American Heart Association.
