Jody Renee Combs, 69, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on March 19, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer, which had returned following a decade of remission. Jody was a gifted and creative jewelry maker who found joy in crafting intricate pieces with stones, crystals, and beads. She had a deep love for nature and cherished simply being present in it—taking time to pause, reflect, and appreciate life’s quiet moments.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Michael Combs. Together, they shared a passion for traveling the country in their motorhome and on their motorcycle, finding peace and happiness in the beauty of the places they explored. Jody adored her three grandchildren and often said they were the moon, the sun, and the stars of her life. She was an incredibly caring and compassionate woman whose warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved by all who knew her. She is survived by her parents, Paul and Joann Garr; her sisters, Jackie Conley and Jill Garr; her children, Josh Dannenberg (Lindsay) and Nicole Dannenberg; and her beloved grandchildren, Cassandra Miller (Brad), Gwen Dannenberg, and Sydney Dannenberg. She is reunited in heaven with her brothers, David Garr and Donald Garr. Jody also held a special place in her heart for Michael’s children, whom she loved as her own: Tosha Flores and her children, Xavier Flores, Omar Carreno, and Jonathon Carreno; Melissa Flores and her son, Gabriel Herrera; and Mike Combs Jr. and his daughter, Kassondra Dunn. We love you Mojo.
In honoring Jody’s wishes, no formal services will be held. She will be cremated, with her ashes to be spread at Bauman Lake and in the Arizona desert, where her husband’s ashes rest. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming love and support they have received. It has been a true blessing, and they are deeply appreciative of all who have reached out during this time.
We love you, and you will forever be missed.
