JoAnne E. Lentz

JoAnne E. Lentz, 86, passed away May 3, 2025. Born in Rockford, IL on May 25, 1938, the daughter of Albin R. And Myrtle C. (Johnson) Peterson. She was a 1956 graduate of East High School. In 1958, she married George “Bob” R. Lentz and together shared 56 years of marriage. She was a homemaker and later worked for Fresh Beginnings Program, retiring in 2004. She loved spending time with her family and vacationing in Wisconsin.

Survivors include her children, Diane and Peter (Amanda); granddaughter, Isla; cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents; in-laws; husband; son, Matthew; sisters, Charlotte and Linda; niece, Jody Knight; nephew, David Mastrangeli; best friend, Karen Rathke.

Memorial service will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025, at Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory-Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Rd., Loves Park, IL, 61111, at 6:00 PM, with a memorial visitation starting at 4:00 PM until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 200 N. LaSalle St., Suite 2300, Chicago, IL 60601.
