Jerry Alan Gouker, 83, of Loves Park passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on July 8, 2024. He was born July 5, 1941, son of George and Alleen (Peterson) Gouker. Jerry married Sally Ann Barthelman on January 21, 1967 at St. Peter's Cathedral in Rockford, IL. He graduated from East High School in 1959 and graduated from Rockford Business College with a degree in accounting. Jerry proudly served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves. In 1980 he purchased Sandray Precision Grinding and was the owner until his retirement. Jerry enjoyed fishing and boating during their winters spent in Florida. He loved spending time with his family, especially his 10 grandchildren. Jerry was an active member in St. Rita Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Sally; children, Laurie (Darrin) Marsich, Marc (Cara) Gouker, and Bryan (Dorota) Gouker; grandchildren, Logan (Ashley), Reid (Aspen), Grant and Maia Marsich, Madison (Manuel), Austin, Jackson, and Everly Gouker and Ania and Karolina Gouker; sisters, Mary (Ken) Franzen and Sharon (Mark) Ackerman; sister-in-law, Sue Tam and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, George and Alleen Gouker.
Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 20, 2024 in Honquest Family Funeral Homes with Crematory–Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Rd., Loves Park with a visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Father William Wentink will be officiating the service.
