Jerry L. Dailing

Jerry L. Dailing, 70, of Rockford, Illinois, peacefully left his earthly home after a short illness and was received as a citizen of Heaven on April 16, 2024.  He was born July 18, 1953, in Rock Island, Illinois, son of Jerry and Pat Dailing. He was a 1971 graduate of Rockford West High School. Jerry married Anne Doering on November 8, 2019. He retired from Schnuck's Supermarket.  Jerry was well read and enjoyed Biblical and philosophical debates. He was an excellent bowler and was captain of his bowling team at Park Lanes Bowl for 25 years. He liked taking excursions all around the Midwest area and was a St. Louis Cardinals fan.  He immensely enjoyed writing poetry resulting in volumes of notebooks. He attended the Redeemed Life Church and was a member of the Hilltoppers Bible Study group.

Those left behind to celebrate his memory are his wife, M. Anne Dailing; sons, Brian and Aaron (Emily) Dailing; siblings, Diane Mahorski, Russell Dailing, Brett Dailing and Brenda Dailing; four grandchildren as well as numerous nephews and nieces.  He was predeceased by his parents, Jerry and Pat Dailing and grandparents, Fredrick and Ruth Ruhl and Francis and Ruth Dailing.

The family wishes to thank Nurse Lisa of OSF Hospice for the compassionate care offered.

Memorial service will take place at 3:00pm with a visitation at 2:30pm until the service on Saturday, May 11, 2024 in Redeemed Life Church, 4242 W. Riverside Blvd., Rockford, IL 61101.  Pastor Ross L. Miley, Jr. is officiating.
