Jeffrey J. West

Jeffrey J. West, 79, of Loves Park, Illinois, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2025, surrounded by those who loved him. Born on September 3, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois, to Vivian and John West, Jeff graduated from Weber High School and soon after proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He met the love of his life, Linda, and the two were married on October 13, 1974. Together they built a beautiful life and family.

Jeff was the proud father of Bill (Paula) West and Paul West, who will continue to carry forward his legacy of kindness, wisdom, and strength. Jeff is also survived by his sister, Joyce West, and his beloved grandchildren, Samantha and William West.

Outside of work, Jeff found joy in life’s simple pleasures, reading, working on puzzles, listening to music, playing cards (especially when he won), and spending time with his dogs. He loved road trips, whether the destination was near or far, and took great pride in his lawn and gardens. Most of all, he cherished time spent with family and friends. A dedicated member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 48 years, Jeff’s strength, compassion, and unwavering support touched the lives of countless people. His presence will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who knew him.

A  memorial visitation will be on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., in Honquest Family Funeral Homes with Crematory - Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Rd., Loves Park, with a memorial service at 6:30 p.m.
