Jason M. Meyers

Jason M. Meyers, 46, of Belvidere, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center after an unexpected incident at home. Jason was born February 6, 1974 in Arlington Heights, IL. Jason was a regular handyman and was always there to help others in need. He had a love for working on cars and was always excited for snow season to bring out his plow. When Jason wasn’t working or helping others you would find him camping or with a fishing pole in his hand. That was his happy place. He was always a man of humor and loved to send funny memes and jokes to people daily to make them laugh and have that little smirk on his face the whole time. 

He is survived by his father, John “Mikey” Meyers; daughters, Alex (Kenneth) Bananszak and Faith Meyers; his sweet granddaughter, Sabrina Bananszak; sisters, Jaime (Dan) Tracy, Jessica (Brian) Bahl, Ashley (Shawn) Lowe and Amara Lowe; nieces and nephews, Justin, Nathan, Brian, Dylan, Olivia, Grace, Megan, Zoey, Autumn and Theo; many aunts, ancles, cousins and close friends. Jason is preceded in death by his mother, Jacqueline “Jackie” M. Lowe; grandfathers, Robert Freitag and John Meyers; grandmother, Dorothy Meyers; uncle, Dan A. Meyers and cousin, Cheyenne Meyers. 

Funeral service will be at 11:00am with a visitation from 10:00am until the service on Saturday, January 9, 2021 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory-Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park, IL 61111.  Masks and social distancing are required.
