Janet Rauch

Janet Rauch, 72, of Rockford, passed away on January 28, 2025 after a battle with cancer; she is rejoicing with Jesus. She was predeceased by her parents, James and Myrna Rauch.  Janet was a teacher at Christian Life Center and Belvidere Public Schools. She was a graduate of Wheaton College with additional advanced degrees.  City First Church was her loving home for over 50 years. She was an active member in many areas.

Janet is survived by her sisters, Marilyn Benson (Bob) and Diane Nagengast (John); along with nieces, Amy Nagengast (Kevin), Meredith Doran (Paul); nephew, Dan Nagengast (Heather); seven grand nieces and nephews, Madden, Benson and Brecken Doran; Jackson and Henry Nagengast; and Cleo and Ellis Naglin.

Celebration of Life will be held at City First Church, 5950 Spring Creek Road, Rockford, IL 61114 on Saturday, February 8, 2025 with Visitation at 10:00am and Memorial Service at 11:00am followed by a luncheon. Memorials to cityfirst.church/giving. Select Janet Rauch memorial or gift at service.
