Janet Purkapile Obituary

Janet M. Purkapile, 96, of Rockford, passed away Saturday, June 12, 2021. She was born on November 26, 1924 in Rockford, Illinois to William and Belva (Navereson) Graham. Janet married Paul Purkapile October 13, 1945. She enjoyed going on walks, bird watching and flowers.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Eric Purkapile, Kimberly Steffa, Jennifer Adams, Chad (Malinda) Steffa and Danielle (Matt) Lauran; numerous great-grandchildren and several nieces; daughter-in-law, Nadine Purkapile. Predeceased by her parents, husband, children and sisters.

Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 21, 2021 in Arlington Memorial Park, 6202 Charles St., Rockford, IL 61108.
