Janelle E. DeBaere

Janelle “Peanut” Elizabeth DeBaere, 15, of Loves Park, IL passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 14, 2024.  She was born on January 16, 2009 in Las Vegas, NV to Jeffery DeBaere and Michele (Raby) DeBaere.  She just finished her freshman year at Harlem High School.  Janelle enjoyed bowling at Forest Hills Lanes, listening to music (especially Taylor Swift), watching Disney movies, baking and cooking, and playing video games.  Her summer bucket list included picking strawberries, tubing and going to museums.  She was so proud to be starting her first babysitting job and learning to drive in the fall.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.  Janelle loved life and always had a smile on her face.  She believed everyone was a good person and always wanted to help everyone.

Special thanks to all our family and friends who have been by our side.  We cannot thank you enough and we would not be able to survive this without you.  A few special friends are Karen (Dave) Neidich, Lisa (Anthony) Haynie, Cheryl (Bruce) Radloff, Dan (Linda) DeBaere, Billy (Abeer) Williams, Melissa (Brian) Malone and Bill (Janelle) Williams.  To everyone who has reached out, we are forever grateful for your love and support.

Janelle is survived by her mother, Michele M. DeBaere; father, Jeffery T. DeBaere, II; nieces; nephews; cousins, TJ Raby, Connor Raby, Donald Raby, Reagan Schultze, Belle Schultze, Kim Neidich and Madison Teixeira; uncle, Todd (Angie) Raby; grandmother, Margaret Raby; grandfather, Richard and grandmother Karen Raby; and grandfather, Jerry (Donna) Walton.  Predeceased by her maternal and paternal great-grandparents; paternal grandmother, Donna Walton; and aunt, Staci Walton.

Memorial service will be at 3:00pm with a memorial visitation from 2:00pm until the service on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory-Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park, IL 61111.
