James "Jim" Ward

James “Jim” Ward, 66, of Rockford passed away Monday, October 28, 2019 suddenly from an illness. Born June 2, 1953 in Aurora, IL. Jim was employed by Rockford Public Schools District 205 as a custodian and prep person for 27 years before retiring. Jim was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Green Bay Packers fan.

Jim leaves behind his loving wife of 21 years, Candi; daughters, Tasha Ward, Christina (John) Napier; son, Nicholas (Karina) Bushnell; grandchildren, Olivia, Gavin, Lilli, Aiden, Chance, James, Coby, Landon, Mason, Giana, Amani; parents, Pamela and Herb Sisler; sister-in-law, Brenda (Bob) James; brothers, David Smith, Skip Smith; his furry side kick, Boscoe; and a special group of friends. Predeceased by father, Steve Smith; and in-laws, Bill and Shirley Bushnell.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 2, 2019 in Grace United Methodist Church, 3555 McFarland Road, Rockford with a gathering immediately following the service.
