James A. Stadler, 69, of Loves Park, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 13, 2020, at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, Illinois. Born August 10, 1950 in Ashland Wisconsin, he was the son of the late Henry and Elsie Stadler(Duffek). Jim attended and graduated from Ashland High School in 1968. He then went on to complete his tool and die apprenticeship where he followed that up with a 50+ year career in the tool and die industry, currently working at Fastenal. On October 22, 1968, he had his first child his lovely daughter Angie. Then on January 28, 1977, Jim married the love of his life Debra J. Monson where they went on to have 3 boys: Joe, William ”BJ” and Jeff. Jim, affectionately known as “Paw Paw” to his grandkids and great-grandkids, loved spending time with his family grilling out and enjoying the pool in the summertime. He also enjoyed his annual North Carolina visits. He was an avid race fan who spent many years at the Rockford Speedway as well as Madison International Speedway. Jim also enjoyed relaxing voyages on his motorcycle. Survivors include his wife, Debra, sisters; Judie (Wayne) Vanaman and Arlene; daughter, Angie(Larry) Wallace; sons, Joe(Christi), William” BJ”(Melisa), Jeff(Kim), with 13 grandkids, 3 great-grandkids, and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Henry and Elsie; brothers, Joe, Larry; sister, Sharon.
