James Christopher Lawson

James Christopher Lawson, 39, of Altamonte Springs, Florida died unexpectedly on January 25, 2020 while on vacation in Rockford, Illinois. James was born on May 9, 1980 in Peoria Illinois. James loved to cook, listen to music and work with his hands to create unique items. He was also a trivia master!

James is survived by his mother, Brenda R. White (Webber); his father, Donald C. Lawson, Jr.; sisters, Jennifer Sliwa (Lawson), Kristen Preston (Johnson), Kathryn Johnson; brothers, Mark Lawson, Jeff Lawson; along with several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 in the Verdi Club, 782 N. Madison St., Rockford, IL 61107. Please join us and share your memories with his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the family.
