James D. Clark, Jr.

James “JJ” Clark, 66, of Roscoe passed away October 22, 2023. He was born on January 21, 1957. James married Marie Garsoe in Memphis, TN on June 9, 1979. He served in the United States Marine Corps for 4 years. James was employed as the director of sales and warranty at Nissan Forklift Corporation and retired after 28 years. He most recently was employed as the SAS manager at Rothenberger USA in Loves Park. He was the owner of Alert Firearms Training where he was a certified NRA and Illinois conceal carry instructor. He loved the time spent with his family and friends, spending time with his sons, playing with his grandchildren, and attending Monday night life groups. He enjoyed online gaming with a group of friends for over 20 years. James was a Godly man who loved his church, City First and served faithfully.

James is survived by his wife, Marie; sons, Justin and Matt Clark; grandchildren, Dezma, Mavrin, and Nora; one brother and several half brothers and sisters.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Friday, October 27, 2023, in City First Church, 5950 Spring Creek Road, Rockford, IL 61114. Visitation will be from 5:30 PM until 7:30 PM Thursday, October 26, 2023, with an additional visitation on Friday from 9:30 AM until the time of service.  Burial will be in Willowbrook Cemetery in Roscoe.
