Jack Lage Obituary

Jack L. Lage, 76, of Machesney Park, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2020. He was born on February 10, 1944 in Clinton, Iowa to Adolph and Virginia Bradley Lage. He served in the Army and was in Vietnam in 1969.  He was awarded the purple heart and was retired from the military. Jack liked to fish and hunt. He was also a very good artist. He had a tattoo of a 5 footed Pink Panther on his arm. He liked to design and build things. Spending time on the boat fishing was a favorite pastime. He worked for Ipsen Industries, Goss Printing and Sundstrand Corp.  He was a machinist and inspector for Sundstrand.

He is survived by his ex-wife, Jean; 2 step-children, Cira Burke and Steve (Cheryl) Tallyn; 4 grandchildren, Justin Pluff, Miranda Redmon, Sam and Emma Tallyn and 2 great-children, Mataya and Amara. He was predeceased by his parents and his sisters, Sheryl and Michelle and his brother-in law, Joe Mercaitis.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
