Ila Mae Bell

Ila Mae Bell, 80, of Machesney Park, IL, was a bright light in a world of darkness.  Her kindness knew no bounds and her love and charity touched many lives.  On September 3, 2024, Ila shed her earthly pain and made a graceful exit to God, surrounded by the love she had nurtured all her life.

Ila will truly be missed and the loss will be felt by many including her daughter, Tammy (Paul); grandsons, Ben (Julia) and Randall; great-grandchildren, Carol and Derek; and surviving siblings, Jean, Howard and Lewis.  She is predeceased by her husband; parents; and 9 siblings. 

She is survived by few, but loved by many.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00pm on Saturday, September 7, 2024 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory-Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park, IL 61111. Memorial service will be at 4:00pm on Sunday, September 8, 2024, with additional visitation from 3:00pm until the memorial service in Hope Evangelical Free Church, 5656 Elevator Road, Roscoe, IL 61073.
