With heavy hearts and profound love, the family of Ian Owen announces Ian’s passing at Northwestern Memorial Hospital on May 15th, 2026, aged 53 years old, following a long illness.
Ian is survived by his loving wife, Lorraine; father, John; mother, Patricia; and sister Sarah.
A native of Manchester, England, Ian graduated from an English University in 1996, where he met his soulmate, Lorraine, and together they loved each other deeply and devotedly for 33 years.
Ian went on to a fulfilling career at Kerry.
Ian had an engaging, warm personality, and his English sarcasm was enjoyed by everyone who knew him.
Ian leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, joy, and cherished memories. International assignments and private travel took him to all corners of the globe. Ian made many lifelong connections and friendships and took great pride in being a caring, dedicated friend, and his legacy lives on in the countless lives he has touched.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 22nd, 2026, at Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory-Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford, Loves Park, IL 61111, at 12:00 PM, with visitation at 10:30 AM until the time of service. Pastor Dan will officiate.
All who knew and loved Ian are welcome to attend and celebrate the life of a remarkable man.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society. The family would also like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses, doctors, and staff at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
