Helen "Sue" Meyer Obituary

Helen "Sue" Meyer, 100, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2023. She was born in New York City, New York on October 20, 1923 to parents, Helen and William Kane. She married John "Jack" Meyer on September 23, 1944 in Our Lady Chapel at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City and they were married for 67 years before his passing. Sue enjoyed reading and travel, and especially spending time with her good friends, Gerri, June, and Thelma.

She is survived by her daughter, Diane (Ray) Young; grandchildren, Sharon Beth (Kevin) Flaherty and Jill (Luis) Melendez Young; great-grandchildren, Josie, Emma and Sylvie Melendez. She is predeceased by her parents, Helen and John Mulcahy and her father, William Kane.

No funeral service is planned as there was a celebration of life with her present at her 100th birthday party three weeks prior to her death. She will be buried with her husband in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
