Gloria Jean Alfe

Gloria Jean Alfe, born on December 23, 1939, in Chicago, Illinois, departed this earthly life suddenly on January 12, 2022, at the age of 82 at her Rockford home of the past 2 decades.  She had held jobs as a keypunch operator, a secretary, and a library clerk, though the occupation to which she dedicated the majority of her life was caring for her family and her home. Gloria enjoyed walking, gardening, playing games, laughing and socializing with friends and family. 

She is survived by her loving children, Lori Ann Alfe and Marc Justin Alfe; her dear friend, Diane L. Mc Conn; her brother, Edward W. Klarkowski; as well as her sisters, Diane L. Correll and Lorraine M. Klarkowski.  Predeceased by her beloved husband, Salvatore John Alfe, as well as her parents, Edward J. Klarkowski and Lorraine E. (Lemke) Klarkowski.

A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory – Mulford Chapel, 4311 North Mulford Rd., Loves Park, Illinois, 61111.  Friends and family may visit from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
