Gladys Ortiz

Gladys Ortiz, 64, of Rockford passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2020. Born August 27, 1955 in Chicago to Carlos Juan and Rosa Milagro (Pagan) Ortiz. Gladys enjoyed crocheting, listening to music, watching soap operas, dancing, cooking, going to family picnics and get togethers.

Survivors include daughters, Anacelia McGee, Maritza (Howard Baker) Miranda; grandchildren, Andre Agosto, Jr., Ernest R. (LaShaeynah L. Fowler) McGee, Jr., Maiah N. McGee, Ashley Miranda, Afrika Baker, Jo’El H. Baker, Isaiah H. Baker; great grandchildren, Alayna M. Williams; siblings, Mirta Urroz, Olga Butler, Robert Ortiz, Carlos Ortiz; near to her heart nieces and nephews; family friends and extended family. Predeceased by parents; sisters, Alicia Lopez; Diana Ortiz, Yolanda Ortiz; and granddaughter, Joela Baker.

Memorial visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 4, 2020 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory - Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park.
