George M. Wonzer

George M. Wonzer, 49, of Roscoe, IL passed away July 21, 2024, after battling a long illness. Born August 7, 1974, in Rockford, IL to his parents, Marion and Paula (Holder) Wonzer. George was a graduate of Hononegah Community High School.

George worked at Walmart for 7 years. He really enjoyed puzzles and reading books. He also enjoyed spending time with his special friend, Vickie McDonald, who he had met in high school and they remained friends ever since. George loved his sports, and was a huge Cubs and Packers fan. He enjoyed placing bets with his friend "Lucky" on the games and scores.

The family would like to especially thank all the visiting nurses and Dr. David Hanson for all of their care through his illness. Special thanks to his Aunt Pam and Aunt Judy for all the love and support they showed George over the years.

Survived by his sister, Heather (Ron) Haussecher; aunts, Pam Wonzer, Judy Holder, and Pat O’Brien; uncles, Ron and Bob Wonzer; cousins, Stacy, Tracy, Casey, and Michael. Preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Paula Wonzer; and his grandparents.
