George Brown Obituary

George W. Brown, 82, of Roscoe, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 in the comfort of his home.  He was born in El Campo, TX on July 17, 1941 to William and Hallie Brown.  George was a teacher and retired from teaching in 2004.  He loved playing music. He wrote songs, short stories and poems.  He was an avid reader, liked to fish, play tennis and enjoyed cooking, especially barbeque.  He rode rodeo and was proud to be bull riding champion one season in Ocean City, Maryland.  As George also loved animals, donations can be made to the ASPCA.

George is survived by his wife, Claudine R. Brown; son, Alexander N. Brown; sister, Catherine E. Brown; and brother, William S. Brown.  He is predeceased by his parents and brother, Michael M. Brown.

A Celebration of Life is planned for this summer. Please check back to this site for details as they become available, tentatively May, 2024.

"May God in all her wisdom, and life in its caprice, keep all of you in gentle touch, with loves abiding peace."
